WELCOME to the Green Pueblo!
The Green Pueblo Map is a celebration of our community’s sustainability accomplishments and assets. The map reflects the community we are all creating together. Join our mapmaking team and help identify the sites that add color, enrichment, environmental responsibility, care and livability to our community.
If you are a teacher, educator or a youth group member, please visit the Green Explorer section. You will find resources to integrate this unique interactive activity into your classroom or after school program.
The goals of the Green Pueblo Map are to:
Engage residents of all ages in defining the features and activities that make the greater Tucson area a special place to live;
Encourage the exploration and discovery of the assets that make the greater Tucson area a thriving and sustainable community;
Enhance awareness and participation in organizations that help our neighbors and the planet; and
Challenge residents and visitors to make everyday choices that support sustainable living.
This map
is meant to be a sampling of what makes the greater Tucson area a Green Pueblo and not a comprehensive inventory of the community’s assets. This is a dynamic map that will continue to change as our community becomes even more sustainable.
We encourage you to View the Map, and Make your Mark by nominating sites for the map, and to use the map to discover and explore all of the “green” assets in our community.
This project is a collaborative partnership between Pima County, The Inner Connection , and the City of Tucson. We are also part of the growing international Green Map movement.
